Content Management System Advantages

Content Management is defined as a process of moving web content through all phases onto the production website. As websites become more content rich and sophisticated, they can place additional challenges on agencies' resources.

These challenges can include:

  • Compressed time requirements for posting new information to the web
  • A demand for simple desktop tools that allow more people to contribute content
  • The need for streamlined approval processes for new and updated content
  • The need for webmasters to manage more content from more contributors
  • An efficient method for updating the look of the website without updating each and every page
  • A growing need for a consistent look and feel to web pages across the enterprise
  • The ability to provide a consistent and predictable user experience across the enterprise
  • The need to reduce the number of pages on a website
  • The ability to deliver mission-critical service during exceptional events
  • The need for a repository for reusable content

Content Management offers a solution to these challenges!

 Put your best foot forward...
Minimize

Web Site content must be displayed in a way that the user can find what they are looking for quickly and easily. They should not be required to do extensive searching to find something of interest.

Most companies develop a 'We Do Best' list or 'Our Best Deals' list. These should be shown prominantly on the home page to show your customers what you do best!

For example, we design web sites using the DotNetNuke Open Source Framework. This allows us the option of handing of the content management of the site to the owner with minimal documentation or training requried.

We also build custom DotNetNuke modules to solve specific issues. One of our custom modules became a stand-alone document gallery module and is now our best selling module. We have developed many custom applications that just have not had broad customer appeal so we don't convert them to stand-alone controls to be sold.
