Creating applications in DotNetNuke normally requires more than just a single module. A typical application will consist of multiple data tables, a hand full of reports and the associated data entry/maintenance modules to completely encompass the structure. This books is not about building a comment control, or a listing of coffee shops. It is about building a complete application that solves a problem for a small business.

We will be building an application to handle service calls for a company that provides rental copiers to customers. We will provide a Manufacturer's, Equipment, Technician, Customers and ServiceTicket tables, complete with Web Modules, Data Access Layer and Stored Procedures for the database. In all we will be building more than 25 modules and half a dozen reports/forms.

We will include graphics and bar-code content on our Service Ticket form, and utilize the Telerik Reporting tool to do our printed reports/forms. Modules will be complete with Import/Export capability so you can develop and test on one platform, and migrate certain data to a production platform when ready.

When we are finished, you will have a complete working application that can be installed on a DotNetNuke website and solve a problem for your customer (Joe's Copy Shop). The scripts included are generic in nature, and allow you to use them over and over again to build data maintenance modules for lots of applications.
